I'm Mayeda (my-duh/مائدة).

Born in Pakistan and raised in Houston, I left the extremely warm and humid embrace of the south to Washington DC for college. After experiencing the thrill of real seasons, I ended up staying for another eight years and worked my way through multiple design agencies and startups in the area.  

As a designer, I have a penchant for bold and engaging interfaces. 
I'm an avid advocate of flat design systems, 508 compliance, accessibility design, dreamy perfume commercials, and Whataburger Spicy Ketchup.

When I'm not designing for work, you can find me (still) designing for my jewelry business, Jugni's Junk, and finding my next bowl of noodles.
